In the past I have not had the best experience here. Even when I was first person at the clinic I would wait an hour to be seen and 2xs I had to seek a second opinion due to the NP not seeing a need to treat. Both of those times resulted in antibiotic given from my GP due to infection. This visit I hesitated going, but my ear pain was intense and my GP is not open saturdays. Today I was first in the clinic and I was out of clinic within 20 minutes. Great service and very satisfied with treatment given. This was first time I saw Dr. Holm and his NP Carrie at the clinic and I credit the great service to them. I did not have to wait while the staff discussed personal issues amongst themselves prior to being treated. Today was a great example of how an urgent care should run. I think corporate should consider the reviews on this site and possibly reconsider staffing at this site. It can obviously be run more efficiently with appropriate staff in place. Thank you Carrie and Dr. Holm for the efficiency noted in today's visit.
Rude is how I describe my experience with Renee Atkins. If she got into the medical field to have personal conversations with the staff while making her patients wait, then she's in the right business. Calling one patient every 30 minutes, being put in behind a curtain while she discusses restaurants, her family and the nurses children and once she blesses you with her presence she treats you abdominally. This is unacceptable and the residents of Plymouth deserve better.
I drive all the way from SB to take my family there for years. The rooms are either superclean or not clean at all. The staff is often off putting. Renee is fantastic unless she is having a bad day then she is horribly rude. On any given day though, she is by far the best most knowledgeable of any NP I've encountered around here. She had caught things some of my kids specialists have missed and ran tests that they refused to run and doscovered what was wrong. At the end of the day I can trust them to get us better.
I have been here several times, the wait time is anything but "urgent." Front desk staff were rude and short. Additionally, after going in for pain in my back after a horse riding accident I was the one who had to suggest and X-ray instead of pain killers, X-rays came back and I was told there was nothing wrong. Went home and was called 3 days later and told they didn't read the X-ray right and I did in fact have a cracked vertabrae.
I was in and out of urgent care in less than 40 min... To bad they dropped the ball on my antibiotic.. It was never called in. I called urgent care 4 times and the pharmacy at least a dozen times.Still No med.. Very unprofessional.. Pharmacy even said for them to verbally call it in which urgent care never did.. So then why should my insurance pay for the visit. I now have to go to another doctors visit to get the antibiotic I really need...
